Geez, my original post still stands. I was merely giving a theory. I am also a Christian and I voted for Romney but I would understand someone staying home (or maybe writing in a protest vote) because Romney is a heretic and a liberal (in this case including pro abortion and gay agenda). And the fact that you didn't answer my question about voting for a Muslim vs. a Christian tells me that deep down you understand my point as well. As a Mormon, Romney believes that by his deeds he can become a god. Becoming president would look pretty good on that resume. And it seems, based on his past stances, that there is no principal he wouldn't compromise to achieve that end.

I didn’t answer your question because it’s theoretical. It’s not real. What I have found on FR is that there are a group of people who like to join in the debate just for the fun of it. I was arguing with someone about abortion. I am strongly against abortion. Some guy popped in to the argument and said that in Old Testament days, some Jews had sacrificed their babies. Historically, he is correct. I believe he was against abortion. What he did was provide ammunition to the pro-abortion person. So, then I was trying to defend against abortion with the other side claiming, “See! Even the Jews kill babies!” He didn’t mean to screw up my argument, but he did. I grew up with Mormons. My Best Man at my wedding is a Mormon. I understand full well the inconsistencies of their beliefs. Having been around Mormons for years, I would point out that at least now, they acknowledge Jesus Christ. Maybe they will eventually join us as a fully Christian church. I pray that it will happen. Mormons are good neighbors and citizens. They tend to be very conservative. Politics used to be about selecting the best person for a job. The best person was the one who would get the most effective and efficient use out of the taxpayer’s hard earned dollars. That is not how the Democrat party sees politics. They see politics as a means of making money. Republicans who did not vote in this election ceded the Presidency and the Senate to the Democrats. The Democrats denied God three times at their convention. The Republicans didn’t. Romney was nominated at the Republican convention. Obama was nominated at a convention that three times denied God. It seems pretty simple to me which party believes in God and which party loathes God. Your original post would seem to indicate some agreement with Republicans who did not vote in this election. I would crawl to my polling place to vote against a party that loathes God and Christianity. I don’t see that loathing in Romney. It is apparent to me that the Democrats won the Presidency and the Senate because many Republican voters stayed home for this election. If they stayed home because Romney is a Mormon, then they’ve helped elect people from a party that three times renounced God at their convention. This election is going to have serious consequences. Posting comments that would appear to support people not voting against the Democrats is probably not helpful.
