The most obvious motive was provided by Oswald himself in his letter from Moscow: To kill any American who put on a uniform against his cause. He openly subscribed to the terrorist creed that a man with a rifle could change history; and, as far as Oswald was concerned, President Kennedy and General Walker were both actively working to destroy his avowed hero -- Castro.

Oswald was CIA. Kennedy was to disband the CIA post Bay of Pigs. Didn’t live to do so.

Kind of odd that the assassination is reported the day after the election and 15 days before the actual anniversary.

Oswald became the first Marine to defect to the Soviet Union, In Moscow, he delivered a letter stating. "I affirm that my allegiance is to the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics."

Heck if Oswald came along today, he would be considered Joint Chiefs material in the Obama administration

I remember it clearly. I wasn’t upset one way or the other. Neither were my friends. As teenagers we already knew and understood that Kennedy was mostly myth and the legends of his womanizing were mostly true. We also understood at the time that Johnson was a criminal and even then speculated that he was involved in some way.

They’re reporting this a day after the election. Are they worried? Biden is nowhere near as smart as LBJ but probably as ruthless. Biden might be as smart as one of LBJ’s beagles but that is questionable.

The Roxie Theatre will be honoring John F. Kennedy on November 22nd (Thanksgiving) by screening the director's cut of Oliver Stone's 1991 film JFK. In addition to the film screening, several highly regarded experts on the Kennedy Assassination have agreed to take part in a discussion of the events surrounding the assassination. This is a rare and unique opportunity to gain great insight into the Kennedy Assassination and how it has shaped the world we live in.

The Warren Commission Report was supposed to be released after 50 years.

Does anyone seriously believe that we will get to read it next year?

I still wonder why he wasn’t sent straight to jail upon his return to the US. Never been explained.

The Biography Channel is running a show about how the Vietnam War would have went if JFK had lived on Nov 22. Looks new.
