No no no. You clearly don’t understand how the franchise business models works. The customers belong to McDonalds, he gets to pay significant amounts of money up front to have the right to build a building according to their rules, buy supplies according to their rules, prepare them according to their rules, and sell the end result at their prices to THEIR customers. And for the troubles he gets to keep the profit. Assuming he never violates enough of their rules to have them yank his franchise and turn it into a corporate store which they’ll eventually sell to someone else. The life of a franchise owner is about doing what you’re told, the Operations Maintenance and Training Manual you can find in every store tells you how to do everything, it even sets wage scales for your various job titles. And one of the things in there is you don’t get to make political statements with their logo.
