Here in Minnesota, there’s nothing to be cheery about.

Our US Senate candidate got obliterated by about the largest margin in state history.

Constitutional amendments banning gay marriage and approving Voter ID were defeated.

The GOP lost total control of the state house and state senate.

Chip Cravaack, although admittedly a fluke winner in 2010, was defeated in his re-election bid for Congress.

And starting next year, a civil war is going to start in the state GOP between the Paultards and the rest of the party. The winner will inherit a state party apparatus that is virtually broke, financially and emotionally.

For all of my decades in GOP politics, this is about as low and bad as it can get.

None of it makes sense. How do we go from a 2010 red tide wave... just 2 years ago, to a complete and total rejection of every core principle republicans stand for? It just makes NO sense.
