Sarah Palin: Second term for Obama ‘catastrophic’
Politico ^ | November 7,2012 | KATIE GLUECK

Posted on 11/07/2012 8:09:32 AM PST by Hojczyk

Even before a winner was declared in the presidential contest, Sarah Palin sounded a pessimistic note on Tuesday night, saying that a second term for President Barack Obama will mean a “catastrophic” blow to the economy.

“Unfortunately, we know what we will get with four more years of President Obama,” the former GOP vice presidential nominee told Fox News’s Greta Van Susteren. “This really is a catastrophic set-back to our economy and to any opportunity that we would have for Supreme Court justices to be appointed who would be strict adherents to the traditional interpretation of what our Constitution says.”

Palin added that she hoped “things can turn around” before the end of the night.

“I’m crossing my fingers, Greta, and hoping things can turn around in the remaining hours of the evening,” she said, striking a resigned tone.

Later in the interview, Palin ran through a litany of problems that, she suggested, are associated with Obama— and expressed disbelief that voters would go down that path.

“I just cannot believe, though, that the majority of Americans would believe that incurring more debt is good for our economy, for our children’s futures, for job creators,” she said. “I cannot believe that the majority of Americans would believe it’s OK not to follow the Constitution and not have a budget. And I can’t believe the majority of Americans say it’s OK to rely on foreign sources of energy instead of drilling and mining our own resources.

“It’s a perplexing time for many of us right now, if things continue in this trend that we have seen earlier tonight,” she added.

Palin did herself no favors by not sticking with the governorship...

I LOVED her at one time....but not so much anymore....she should have been using these years to polish her speech, to learn Spanish, to deepen her knowledge...

THE MSM won't blame Obama, of course, but the average person on the street will,...

Yes they will, at some time or other in the "reeducation camp", before becoming a lampshade and soap.

Sarah had no choice, considering the level of Lawfare being waged against her and her family.

I’m trying to prepare for what I believe will be an economic collapse.

The economy may actually not be the worst of the next 4 years. Obama has given the green light to the Russian Bear and God knows who else.

Expect the Russian Bear to complete its Invasion of Georgia (not the peach state) before the winter Olympics in 2014.

Economic collapse is still far worse than Russia invading Georgia. Although they will most likely both occur around the same time.

'All it takes for evil to prevail, is for good people to do nothing.'

Today, if Sarah was running for office I would support her and vote for her. She has more moxie/wisdom in her little finger than all our Senators put together. They have lost respect and credence. Very ineffective.

She is smart, unafraid of the critics, has experience with the ‘good ole boys’ and how they operate, and she loves America and freedom. Maybe we can draft her.
Americans have become too politically correct to do anything for regaining executive positions; or being effective in governing.

IF WE DO NOT WANT TO DISSOLVE INTO A THIRD WORLD POOR NATION ...

WE MUST NOT GIVE UP, BUT RATHER IT IS TIME TO EDUCATE THE POPULACE. AT EVERY LEVEL, THE ARMED FORCES, THE SCHOOLS,THE MONETARY SYSTEM THE CONSTITUATIONAL LAWS AND BILL OF RIGHTS. THE MAJORITY OF OUR CITIZENS DO NOT UNDERSTAND HISTORY, or CURRENT HAPPENINGS IN EUROPE AND OTHER STRUGGLING NATIONS

IT TAKES DEDICATION AND SINCERE FAITH IN GOD ALMIGHTY, TO KNOW OUR LOCAL GOVERNMENTS, AND REGULATIONS.

THE UNITED NATIONS AND AGENDA 21, IS FURTHER LOSS OF AMERICAN FREEDOM.

IT IS INDEED CATASTROPHIC!!!

WE MUST DRAW A LINE IN THE SAND AND SAY NO MORE.

WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH AMERICA?

IS THERE ANOTHER WAY? TO SAVE AMERICA AS WE HAVE KNOW IT? sorry for the caps!

[ She(palin) kinda made me sick last night, smiling while she said this ]

Will you Palin zealots knock it off!

She is nothing but an attractive woman with some good viewpoints, she is not a political leader.

It definitely DID make me want to spew to see how slaphappy Gyno Kelly and Bret Baer were. Gyno is kind of an idiot but I was very disappointed in Baer because I thought he was a conservative.

I think TPTB at Fox made everyone show up on camera wear a fricking smile. It shows me that they are paid hacks, including the equally giddy in facial expressions Sarah Palin. The only ones who looked appropriately dour were Krautie and Brit Hume. But i am not sure Brit CAN physically smile.

No, there is no other way.

Here is the main fact:

AMERICANS ONLY KNOW WHAT THEY LEARN FROM TV.

We need to counteract that. It seems alternative media doesn’t cut it. Ay source that could teach them the truth, like rush Limbaugh, they are mocked away from listening to. Only the truly courageous give someone like him a chance.

Mocking keeps them in line. Once they get in the habit of watching Jon Stewart, they are hooked into his smarmy mocking and want most of all to be on the “good” side. The cool side.

Not being mocked is their top goal.

WE NEED AN ALINSKY ANECDOTE.

and that antidote is THE TRUTH.

How to inject it into the general public??

If only we could spray truth through the chemtrails.

Last night's coverage ended my FNC viewing. I was happy listening to Mark Levin's “anti-coverage” until his show was over. My wife and son wanted to switch between FNC and Fox Business, I sat there for as long as I could then retreated to the LIVE thread here. I watch FNC less and less every year, lately it has become virtually unwatchable. (That nonsense with Kelly walking through the halls giggling to get to the “experts” was my final straw.)

I'm looking into getting a BlazeTV sub today so I can watch on the Roku. FNC no longer has any relevance nor substance to overcome their smarmy s*ck-up-ness.

Given that I am quite a bit “less than optimistic” today, I see no way for that to happen on a larger enough scale. The dumbing down of this population has been going on for decades, across multiple areas such as education, culture, entertainment, etc. (And that doesn't even get into the effects of unhealthy foods/diets, prescription drugs & vaccines, water additives, etc. which some people don't want to believe can be a factor (Normalcy Bias there).)

I just don't see it changing (for the better) in my lifetime or my children's lifetime. Each year that passes strengthens my opinion that a hard reset is going to be required; along with the fresh restart that will hopefully follow. Just my sad 2 cents today!

Yeah, that Gyno walk down the halls to refute Rove from the bosses was as stupid as anything I’ve seen. I do not enjoy watching fox either. It’s often on at my house but I prefer getting info from online.

CNN deserves credit on elections nights for great, fast, correct info and straight talk from John king. Even Volfie and Anderson are fairly benign on election nights. We know they are all biased but they don’t show it during the election reporting and they don’t have as many talking heads blabbering as fox does. And John king’s electronic map is absolutely the best.

They had serpent head at the early hours and he annoyed me terribly with his “OL Romney had betta win evry battle heah an Obama jus has to show up” talk. But he was damn right!!

SP is radioactive, and will remain so for the rest of her days.

Is being a common sense conservative "radioactive" ? If so, we are in for a precipitous ride to the bottom.

Well, I know we are all down today, but I do believe in Gd and know that He always has, of all paths available, at least one Right Path. There is never no right path. There MUST be a way to get the truth to the Americn people, to counteract the Jon Stewart mocking.

Maybe we need to capture the public’s attention with some “free goodies” of our own.

The only one I can think of is to create a freedom or constitution party out of the ashes of the republican one, and tell everyone that our platform is FREEDOM OF LIFESTYLE for all, with focus on conservative, small government principles, strong military, low taxes. Drop all our focus on social issues. The only one remaining in our platform would be pro life — for all. The elderly, the unborn, the handicapped. But freedom of lifestyle means people are free to marry cats and dogs, and people are free to live lives according to their religions, cults, gurus, or fancy. They are free to add as many different genitalia to their bodies as they wish. But we live according to the constitution.

You got it, Wolf: in the eyes of the FSA, the media and the Left, a common sense conservative is a knuckle-dragging, wife-beater-wearing, bitter clinger.

And as for the ride to the bottom, see my tagline...

I am a believer as well. I strive daily to put my faith and trust in Him. I am secure in my salvation (and forever grateful for it), I'm just a bit peeved (and when you really come down to it, being a bit whiny today) about the conditions that I will be living out my earthly life in, and how terribly deprived our children (and potential grandchildren) will be of experiencing the level of freedom and liberty that we had at least for the first couple of decades of my life.

For myself, it took me well over a year to get over the profound guilt that I experienced when I finally woke up and got my head out of the proverbial bucket of sand. I realized that I was living “fat and happy” in a very selfish and self-centered (and IGNORANT) existence. I count myself among the millions of us that have failed this country, and our children. I still do, but have come to realize that guilt (and all of its terrible burdens) does not come from Him, but rather the enemy. So for now I am pursuing a bit of a dual path, trying daily to work toward laying up my treasures in Heaven, and doing what I can to make the rest of our days on this Earth as painless for my family. That's about all I can do at this point.

The kind of Freedom/Constitution-based party that you mention would be great, basically it should be a party that works continually to guide this nation back toward its Constitutional roots. I guess that is what I see being necessary after a hard reset, if it could happen somehow before a reset, that would be wonderful, I just can't see it taking root at this point in time. I would greatly love to be proven 100% wrong about that!

Sarah is smart enough to not knock her head against a stone wall which is the current circumstance of our media. Without the media telling or allowing for truth .... it is impossible to get the word out. Most all of any speeches of Romney, and other conservatives, other than the debates, were not on TV news channels.

There is no successful way to fight the medias that are totally in the pocket of the liberals. Even those on Fox. Bill O'Riley, for instance. He did tell truth in the beginning of his success. He stopped.

God help America, without Thee we can do no thing, In Thee we trust, in Jesus name, amen.
