I announced back on Aug 20 that I was going to vote for Romney and urged all conservatives to do the same. And repeated that nearly every day on every thread I posted ever since. And I did. So did Sheila. What other choice did we have?

Thanks for the info.
I didn’t follow your posting activity directly and an “in forum” search didn’t seem to have any indication on the first page of posts.
I will donate to the Freepathon when I get home this evening.
Bravo to you, Jim! Before August 20,after I told you that I had voted for Rick Santorum in the primaries, and asked you what you thought I should do in terms of voting once Mitt Romney became the nominee, you told me to "let my conscience be my guide."
You seemed to indicate that you might be sitting out the election.
I have to tell you that until it was announced on August 11 that Mitt Romney had chosen Paul Ryan as his running mate, this election, as far as I was personally concerned, was the quintessential "hold your nose and vote" proposition.
When all was said and done, however, I arrived at the same spot on conclusion you did. "What other choice did we have?"
We had no other choice. But it seems to me that if we were able to walk away from this political dog and pony show with a clear conscience, that has to count for something in the grand scheme of things.
