So are you representing that the Pilgrims, for example, willfully and knowingly broke the new host country’s rules against immigration?

“Even King David committed some horrible sins” - so are you asserting therefore that it is “OK” to willfully commit sins - after all, since God will likewise wink at willful lawbreakers?!!!

You say my question is a good one. But your answer doesn’t match up.

Hebrews 10
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

The Lord shall judge his people.

Since they were welcomed in, I would say no. Would you say that the slaughters, ethnic cleansing, broken treaties, etc. that occurred afterwards were sins at least as bad, if not more so, as the illegal immigration that is happening now?

Funny you should infer that, since Israel was punished severely for the sins committed by King David and others. No, God does not "wink-wink" at sins, either illegal immigrants or current residents.

And remember, Jesus still descended from the line of Judah after all of that.

You say my question is a good one. But your answer doesn’t match up.

Of course it matches up, but not as you inferred it. Israel was punished, but Jesus still descended from one of the tribes.

I'm not sure what your disagreement with me here is, unless you think that only illegal immigrants will be punished for their sins. How about Romans 1:19-32, which talk about how God turned the sinners over to their sins including homosexuality. You sure that isn't what's happening here?
