I’m beginning to think that illegal immigration is His way of replacing a population that has turned away from Him, with a population that still believes in Him. If that’s the case, whose side do we want to be on?

If illegals believe in God, then why are they law-breakers? God is the ultimate law giver; he says "31 Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the LORD. 32 Neither shall ye profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am the LORD which hallow you,". Those who fear God tend to keep a country's laws and pay taxes.

Also, if recently arrived foreigners believe in God, then why do they in large numbers appear to support those who oppose God?

In fact, if you would search the bible you would find that God has a history of using the more actively wicked to punish sinners.
