I have three grandchildren. When I see them next at Thanksgiving I will encourage each of them NEVER to fight inthis country’s military - either as volunteers or if conscripted. In the latter case, they should ex-patriate.
There was a time when I thought our country was worth fighting and dying for. No more. We have thoroughly disrespected our military.
When the Vice Presidential candidate says to the father of a murdered Seal that “his balls must have been the size of cueballs” and that canddiate is re-elected to office, no one should ever consider serving our country in the military. The people do not deserve the kind of loyalty and bravery they give. Sorry, but I have reached my limits. This nation has made its choice. It’s over.
“The people do not deserve the kind of loyalty and bravery they give.”
You’re right.
Why would anyone want to defend a people so fixated on a phoney “war on women” and on their below-the-belt recreational activities (and government-funded disposal of the results) that they would elect a president who holds the U.S. Constitution (and the sanctity of life) in contempt?
