Our pastor voiced concern about Romney making mormonism more mainstream.
Funny, he didn’t care when 80% of the congregation voted for Obama and his Black Liberation Theology and muslim leanings.
Likely, he would have been unhappy about a Catholic candidate as well.
Give me a choice between a Mormon and a Muslim and, all other things being the same, I’ll take the Mormon any day. They do less beheading of Christians.
I’m disgusted with my “Christian” friends who put their government “god” over everything else and voted for a guy who supports robbery (involuntary redistribution of one person’s wealth to another person) and murder (abortion, infanticide, murder by betrayal ala Chris Stevens, Tyrone Woods, etc in Benghazi, political murders, etc), and is already known to have committed both perjury and fraud just to get on the ballots (according to the Hawaii state registrar’s legal responses). The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy, and it sounds to me like Obama’s resume fits that bill - yet supposed “Christians” supported him in even with all those acts clearly known.
The salt is fit to be trampled under, and Obama’s Islamist friends (that he’s been arming...) will be more than happy to do the honors for him. We reap what we sow.
Mormonism is a benign religious denomination. The description of it as a cult is religious superstition and fear run amuck. Who cares if Mormonism becomes mainstream? I could not care less! Mormons are moral people and good citizens. I do not give a fig if they are not “true Christians.” Some Evangelicals are such religious fanatics they think they are Gods CHOSEN and everyone else is unclean, demonic and damned. This blending of superstition and arrogance is just disgusting to me.
I hope you voiced to him that he is a fool. He must have thought Romney was running for a church office and not a political office.
Or maybe not realized there is a difference.
muslims do not claim to be Christians.
They said the same thing about electing John Kennedy — that Catholicism would become mainstream. It didn’t happen.

When he was governor of Massachusetts, his religion was a non-issue and many people didn’t even realize he was a Mormon.
