And, if the economy really is not Bush's fault, why did Bush say nothing or try to correct the so-called false statements, is what many independenents and moderates asked.

I said many times on here in the last few weeks that Romney never even tried to argue with Obama when Obama said to his face multiple times in the debates that Romney is trying to "return to the same Bush policies" that caused the economic crisis. He either needed to say the Democrats were equally or more responsible, or offer some explanation as to why the mortgage crisis occurred and why his policies would not lead to the same thing.

Exactly! You are right! But he did not want to offend the moderates by sounding so partisan with the truth so he just let the American people believe that Bush and the republicans and their policies are the reasons why we got in this mess in the first place. Totally false, yet it's the consensus shared by the majority of Americans including republicans and many in their leadership.

It's a shame.
