Actually, why should not be churches and non profits be taxed? If my entity is taxed half of my income, why isn’t anyone else? Churches, especially black churches, have become political organizations. I say either tax ALL churches/mosques/temples or do not tax anything at all.
Absolutely correct. Religion is one of the biggest businesses in America and we need to stop treating it like we do. Tax them like anything else. Property taxes, income taxes on contributions, etc.
