Any one receiving some kind of government benefit is part of that 48%. They are too powerful to be ignorance.

And no Republican will win who threatens their security. Its not freedom people value but safety.

In the long run, we shall have neither of them in our country.

The most republican age group are the people collecting social security, and the retired and present military, and others vote republican as well.

If you want to go after lefties, then go after the people under age 35.

I asked, before Romney was overheard talking about the 47%, how many people actually paid income taxes in this country. Total. Not “working age”, not “eligible workers”. Total. I said 40% which would leave 60% paying nothing, income tax wise.

After thinking about it, if you take the children into consideration, who after all pay no income tax, then it’s probably closer to, what, 80%? Now, once again I’m guessing but the point is still there. 20% of the population is paying for 80% of the resident’s of the US. Is this possible, you say? Well sure, it’s possible. But it’s 100% not sustainable. That’s what Romney meant and what he should have said.
