Absolutely correct. Credit downgraded again. Debt interest explodes. The currency collapse is just around the corner in 2013. After that, civil war 2 or total anarchy.
My wife has been nagging me to buy her a different car and get rid of her truck, way things are going, truck will be kept for another 4 years and I will be tightening the wallet a lot next year.
In the back of my mind, I am thinking of leaving this country, New Zealand is on my list. Which 1st world country has easy immigration policies ?
I feel the same way. It’s time to learn to live on very little, and don’t feed the freeloading government any more than absolutely necessary.

We won’t be 1st world for long. I should have asked excluding USA. Besides NZ, I thought of Iceland as a different place. Even Israel if I had some enough Jewish blood. I know 1/16th doesn’t cut it though !
Israel is a secular Western democracy. It has an ordinary naturalization process like other countries. You don’t have to be Jewish.
Those it deems Jewish get automatic citizenship and certain benefits regular immigrants don’t.
Just be aware that Israel is also a socialist country.
I am 100% certain that the trajectory that this country is on ends badly and soon. We are near the end of the debt and inflation fueled fantasy that everyone can live a life of leisure without working.
The party will soon be ever. Obama may think he will be able to control and profit from the resulting chaos but I think not. “The guy who hands out the free stuff” is not a safe position when there is no more free stuff to give.
Chaos, anarchy, fratricide are coming. Heartbreaking but I think its now inevitable.
