Had the pleasure to meet this man once, on a plane in Texas. He was patient and kind to my wife, and spoke very well (2000, I think, not 1996). Unfortunately, his TV persona came off poorly.
Yeah, I did remember wondering why his face didn’t seem to move when he talked on camera.
