Several news sites have temporarily dropped their subscription paywalls for election day and night.
The New York Times will be free from 6 p.m. EST tonight until 6 p.m. EST Wednesday.
The Wall Street Journal will be free from 5 p.m. EST today until 5 p.m. EST Wednesday.
The National Journal is free today and tomorrow, the cut off time has not been determined.
The UK Times is free today, for an unknown time period.
NYT free crap is still crap..............
Wow, it is like “Caddy Day” at Bushwood Country Club.
The New York Times will be free from 6 p.m. EST tonight until 6 p.m.”
Still overpriced.
NYTimes has a pay wall? GETOUTTAHERE!!!
All this time I thought I was just ignoring them.
Most of these paywalls are a joke anyway. They often have deliberate exceptions if you enter one of their pages from google or bing. The WSJ is like that. Click on the WSJ link in an FR article and you get just a beginning teaser, but if you cut and paste the headline into google and find the article via google search and then click the google link, you get the full article.
They just about HAVE to make exceptions for the searh engines or no none would go to their sites at all.
