Honestly, I think the election most heavily on many of their minds was the Sheriff.

In 2008, 'we' went heavily for McCain. Unfortunately, 'we' also went heavily for Rat Bastard Manchin for Senate. This time, I saw a few John Raese (Rep for Senate) bumper stickers.

I voted in Martinsburg, the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. I voted early last week, as did my son.

It took me three tries because of the weather, lines and very limited parking.

The first time I went, on Monday, it was rainy and I figured no one would be there — Wrong! They were lined up out the door and about a block down the street.

I tried again on Tuesday, same result.

Wednesday it was fairly light. I went earlier this time and experienced hardly any wait. On all three occassions I was amazed by what appeared to be the mixed make-up of the folks waiting in line.

My son voted on Thursday and waited for about 30 minutes. He said that the people in line looked like your regular TEA Partiers!
