New polling places, unresponsive websites create confusion in Cook County

Long lines awaited voters this morning on Election Day, while some Cook County voters assigned to new polling sites faced confusion about where to go. One pregnant woman was so determined to vote that she stopped on her way to the hospital.

At Margate Park Fieldhouse on the city's North Side, voters on their way to work waited 30 to 40 minutes in a line that extended out the front door. By 8:30 a.m., an election judge said 116 voters had cast ballots in the Margate Park precinct.

"We've had a steady stream," said election judge Leon Klement. "So far it's been pretty smooth."

with about 20 percent of Cook County voters sent to new polling sites this year, there was some confusion about where to vote today in Chicago.

Looks like chicago is a mess, nobody knows where to vote, the sites which tell people where to vote are down and they are claiming being hacked.

Whatever works. I am sure that the month of early voting wasn’t enough for the scum Democrats. They will go to court to keep the polls open for another week, jsut to make it fair!

Cook County is heavy rat, and notoriously the most corrupt county in Illinois for voting, if not the country.

So funny that the liberal media would say that it isn’t easy enough there. Hell, the entire govt of illinois and cook county is liberal, so if there is a problem, the blame is squarely on their shoulders.

This is like Alaskan voters complaining about GOP suppression of votes.

One of the great ironies of the closed Democrat “minds” is that they can see all around them in their strong holds where they rule, where they provide the leadership and management, and where they are the unchallenged party, their best efforts are horrible. They produce dysfunction when they’re at their best, yet their supporters accept that all of their woes are the fault of the Republicans. And ask yourself this. When a Democrat succeeds, where does he want to go live? Does he say, “Hey, I want to live in a neighborhood where my property won’t be respected, where the laws are not obeyed, and where violence is excused as a reasonable response to every conflict?” Nope. He heads to live with those evil Republicans.

My Polling place opened at 6am and had the longest line I seen in 12 years, we are a small suburb in Cook (the home of the one repulican statewide office holder). Maybe we can get Illinois while all the Dems are busy in Wisconsin trying to steal that state!

Isn't it comforting that these Jacka$$es are running the country? And isn't it funnier that 48% of the voting population is voting to keep these Jacka$$es in power?

Which polling place? I’m from the same town, but am in California right now. Voted early last week. Am listening to Rush on my iPhone and following FR on my iPad. Trying to keep up on the news.

Doesn't really matter: Cook Co. officials have already decided what final vote tally will be reported tonight...and if the down-state count goes too high, they will "find" however many extra boxes of ballots that "got misplaced".
And I'm not joking: that's how they roll in the Windy City, BO's hometown.

I know someone who went to his usual site in Chicago Rogers Park, was told it was changed to one of two others, went to the nearest one, was told that wasn’t it and that they didn’t know where the real one was. I found it online and got him there. I told him to go ahead and skip school and that if anyone attempted to “help” him vote, tell that person to EFF OFF.
