PIEDMONT, Oklahoma - A three year old gets his mom in trouble with the law when he gets a ticket from police. Now the little boy's mother will have to pay thousands of dollars for what the toddler did in their own front yard.
The toddler is being potty trained, and he wasn't near the facilities, so he unzipped.
We are told before he could pee, a Piedmont police officer stopped him. It's a bathroom break that cost mom $2,500.
We all know the saying, boys will be boys. Dillan decided to be a big boy, stop what he was doing, so he wouldn't wet his pull-up.
"Dillan pulled down his pants to pee outside, I guess and the cop pulled up and asked for my license and told me he was going to give me a ticket for public urination," said the boy's mother, Ashley Warden.

He’s 3....The cop should be watching that some faggot isn’t around the corner.
My son does this constantly. I would pity an officer who would try to ticket me.
Enough of the cops arresting little boys and girls. This is stupid beyond belief.
Time to change Chiefs of Police. And I am serious.
The cop needs his head examined.
Boortz just mentioned this item on his show and his producer, Belinda, said she is going to help the mom pay the fine.
I hope the mom takes this to court. The judge will drop the charges and lecture the cop. And the boy has a great story to tell all the rest of his life.
This cop should be fired immediately. That’s harassment, lousy judgement and abuse of power. He has no business wearing a badge. I guess they’re lucky he didn’t shoot their dog too.
They need to change the name from Piedmont to Pee Not...
Will he have to register as a Sex Offender?
Had this happen with one of ours.
Christmas day, number two in the front yard while we were loading the stuff in the car to go to grandma’s.
Good thing it wasn’t a dog peeing in the front yard.
Assuming this is the whole story, in my court: “Dismissed”, followed by a hallway conference with the officer that started something like, “What the hell were you thinkin’, officer?”
Now, the very fact that there was an officer right there to witness the “offense” tells me that this was not the first time this, or something like it, had happened. The Paul Harvey presumption virtually always applies in this kind of situation.
The officer should be fired.
Yep. And, it should be done today because today is a perfect day for firing people:-)
Please, oh please... tell me the kid was wizzing on an Obama yard sign
I would have thought that the police in Oklahoma had more sense than this. This sounds like something that would happen in a nanny-state area like where I live.
I only do this when it’s dark outside.
I come from a cop family...dad was from the ‘four-one’, Bronx(they made a pretty bad movie about it with paul newman).
that being said...cops are not around to protect you....you need to protect yourselves.
cops are around for the most part to give you speeding or HOV tickets to make money to pay their salaries so they can give you speeding tickets and HOV tickets and draw chalk lines around your already dead body....
...oh yeah....and to give your toddler a ticket for taking a leak on the front lawn..
If so, at age 3, couldn't he be acquitted due to insufficient evidence?
That cop has too much free time on his hands. Probably traumatized that poor kid.
This offense should cost the cop his job.
The guy is a total idiot.
This stupid SOB carries a gun.Do we really need somebody this stupid carrying a gun?
I am all for the 2nd. Amendment but anyone this stupid has no business with a gun, much less a police license to carry one.
I guess they are lucky he didn’t just shoot the kid.
I am sure the rest of the cops in this Department are ashamed to have this sorry POS on the force, but they will back him as far as they can, after all he belongs to the fraternity.
I thought that was standard cop response to any domestic visit. Shoot the dog first and then ask questions, go to the back door or kick the front door down.
Why do we need cops again?
Idiot cop.
This is not how citizens are treated in a free republic.
Number two?? I hope you've just gotten your numbers confused. A kid peeing in the front yard is one thing, but taking a dump is quite another. (Still wouldn't ticket him, though.)
You have to understand, there was no old lady to taze, no double amputee with one arm in a wheelchair to shoot, and no dog in sight.
What else was he supposed to do?
His programming only goes so far.
/ bad wisecrack.
Your son may do it but ALSO most middle and late-middle aged men with an enlarged prostate do it when they’re outside trying to take care of their lawn and leaves, etc. and get hit with the sudden urge, and don’t think they can get into the house in time, so they duck behind a tree on their own property.
Now he’s Pied off.
Place check in a bottle w “speciman”, when paying fine.
No confusion.
This was a recently potty trained 3 yr old.
Turned around in the Home Depot one day to see my 2-year-old had dropped their pants and was backing up to one of the display toilets.
Lord am I glad I got there in time.
That probably happens a lot.
I know I’ve had to head off the same situation.
Myself? Guilty as charged.
In some places he’d also have to register on a sex offender list
He nailed some relatives with long range across the room arcs ~ but then he acquired a Governor, and finally Richard Nixon at a political rally.
No doubt this officer will be disposed of like trash before this is over.
You know, if the police continue with their line of stupidity, the answer is "yes." I remember reading about a man who was returning from an ocean resort. The traffic coming back was horrendous (as it usually is), and there were no commercial establishments along the way. He parked his car alongside the road, went into the woods and urinated. Unfortunately, someone saw this and reported it. He was arrested, fined and had to register as a sex offender.
“.. but taking a dump is quite another”.
Little kids being potty trained are unpredictable. They are learning NOT to simply go the bathroom in a diaper. Believe me, little ones get the urge to go RIGHT NOW but try to remember NOT to go in the diaper/pull up. Why do you think Home Depot’s and Lowes have toilets that are sometimes secured? Turn your back for one second and little ones are proving one way or another they are a big girl or big boy... What is horrible with this whole story is the little guy was probably happy that he was able not to go in his pull up. His pull up remained dry. Poor kid!
Should tell the judge that he was trolling for pedophiles and the Holder/Obama justice department would let him off the hook.
The police acted stupidly.
He should demand a jury of his peers.
OK was also where they made a woman get rid of her medicinal plant garden on her property.
It's what 'we' don't know that makes all the difference. The 'game' of MEDIA.
even if it is dismissed there are court fees that the mom will have to pay.
+1
If I was the parent, I wouldn’t just pay it. I’d demand a court date and force a judge to issue a ruling saying I had to pay it. And, I’d make sure the local press was in the court room covering it.
I don’t know if judges are elected in OK, but they are where I come from. Believe me, no judge wants to go into his next election being known as the judge that fined a family for a child peeing in their own yard.
Imagine the judge in “Miracle on 34th Street” who didn’t want to declare Santa insane.
“”Dillan pulled down his pants to pee outside, (for like...the hundredth time) I guess and the cop pulled up...”
