Good news, I voted first thing at 7am in Exeter, NH. Voter ID was REQUIRED! The parking lot was already completely packed when I arrived, exceptional turnout... very long lines to vote for the hour and a half I was there... steady stream of voters, then it trailed off as many voted before going to work. I have a feeling there is going to be a huge voter turnout here in NH. I will be going back to hold signs again at noon and beyond.

Exeter is a very liberal community but there were a lot of people supporting Romney, Ryan, Ovid, Guinta and the other Republican candidates. I talked to a UNH student holding RR signs next to me and he said there is very little support or enthusiasm for Obama on the UNH campus. He told me that most of the students "are not interested in supporting him this time around." Or "they are not voting because they just do not care." On the other hand he said the Republicans on campus are very active, enthusiastic and fired up. So we shall see if there is a lot less Obama mania student support this time around.

Have yet to vote. Through twitter I’m hearing HEAVY voting this am. 1/3 mile backup in Ltown. Typically you can drive right in. Ltown leans (R).

I arrived at 7:50 (polls open at 8). There were already >100 people in line, standing outside in 27F windy cold. Mood of the crowd? I would say grim determination. More than a few Mitt buttons. Some of our local dopers there, too, to vote for Gary Johnson.

At least ten people were there to register. Did not see any Mass or Vermont license plates.

On a normal election day, there is no line, especially in the morning.

Here in central MA (which is a red county in a blue state) my wife reported the polling place in our little town was very busy. I will be voting after work and expect a line.

Everyone has written off MA for Romney but don’t be so quick to do that. It will be close even if Mitt loses the state. Brown will win.

May the heros of Benghazi be proud of how we vote today.

They gave their lives for us, now we need to give our votes for them.

Vote as if the lives of our Military Men and Women depended on it.

No waiting line at 8am this morning! 50% of our county voted early. Not me, I somehow feel they have more time to manipulate my vote if I vote early.

Proudly voted for Virgil Goode.

Message to the GOPe.

In Exeter, NH 11:45 - 2pm Steady stream of voters... no lines. Quite a few adults, adults with children and older adults voting. A lot of people taking time off from work at lunch time, using their lunch-break to vote (Including my doctor who voted straight R ticket!). Very few "students" and "young 18 - 20 something" voters so far. If Obama is counting on students and this demographic to save his bacon here in NH, he is "out of luck" because it isn't happening.

I have been holding campaign signs outside the polls and quite a few people gave me their "thumbs up", winks or told me they were (or have) voting for Republicans and Romney. That is quite impressive for liberal Exeter, NH.
