Bruce is adored by everybody that was born in NJ, rich, poor, young, old. When Christie was running for Governor he made it clear he was a Springsteen fan, stated that he has been to every concert and will continue to do so, he asked Springsteen to sing at one of his rallies and Bruce refused. If I remember correctly Springsteen told him to not use his songs during the campaign. Christie to his credit won't let up on Sprinsteen must have drove Bruce crazy.
Most of us in NJ didn't get to see the Obama hug because we didn't have electric, but we all agree that Christie is doing a great job, well except the government check cashiers.
The town he was in was totally devastated in the storm, it was hit with a 15 ft surge, the flood traveled 1 mile inland and destroyed everything. It is a Democratic town and no one ever shows up for a photo op, I for one was so glad he stopped there.
This area is devastated and if hugging Obama will get up the help we need then I say hug away.
For the record I was not born in NJ and gave up years ago trying to figure out the love for Bruce, even NJ born republicans love him.
