This probably went a long way toward calming some Democrat nerves, because deep down you know Obama supporters and everybody else for that matter are well aware that Stephanie Cutter only speaks the truth:
In a conference call this afternoon, President Barack Obamas re-election campaign had one central message for their supporters when Election Day arrives tomorrow: They should keep calm, even if they hear snippets of information favoring Republican Mitt Romney.
My warning, we need to stay calm for much of the day, Stephanie Cutter, Mr. Obamas deputy campaign manager, said, touting thousands of early ballots already submitted by voters. Weve already banked a pretty big portion of our vote.
The fear, she explained, was early numbers leaking before voters have finished going to the polls, creating unnecessary panic and pessimism among Democrats.
Fitting video accompaniment by way of Weasel Zippers:
Earlier, Cutter said the idea of Romney winning Pennsylvania is not based in reality. Which must mean that the Obama campaign sending Bill Clinton into Pennsylvania to shore up the state they say isnt in jeopardy is also not based in reality.
In other election-related news, NBCs Andrea Mitchell, speaking with Chuck Todd about all the swing-state possibilities, said if Pennsylvanias in play, its all over for the president:
Well, sorry Andrea, but Pennsylvanias in play. For some extra bang, Romney will campaign in Ohio and Pennsylvania on the day of the election.
Meanwhile, President Obama is hoping that his role in bridging the gap between Bruce Springsteen and Chris Christie will pull in some of the independent vote.
Much of the day?
Meyer's advice to the same supporters: Stay home!
Obama-bots should take a long nap today and forget about that stressful voting thing.
LOL, I remember being here in 2000. I should have invested in Malanta. I would have been a millionair.
“Panic among Democrats”—and this is bad because... ? :-)
This message can also be interpreted to mean: “Don’t riot until you are sure we have lost.”
Which serves fair notice on the good American citizens that today, after voting, it would be a great idea to take your guns out of storage, give them a light cleaning and functions check, and re-familiarize yourself with its action, loading and unloading, practice aiming, etc.
The purpose of which is, of course, not anything aggressive, but the recognition that LEOs are just a convenience, and when there are large disorderly assemblies that turn violent and riotous, it is up to the citizenry to defend themselves against the criminal rabble bent on chaos, violence, assault, murder, looting and arson.
“Stay calm. Our ground effort isn’t quite what it was in 2008, but our voter-fraud machine is in high gear.”
Stay Calm? You have got to be kidding. This is cover for the left’s plan to create riots and mayhem WHEN Obama the cypher loses.
Look what Obana advized Odinga to do when he lost the Kenya election in 2007/2008....protest in the streets! Thousands fell victim to Muslim initiated inter tribal genocide and the UN came in and negotiated a shared power arrrangement between the legitimate government and the Orange Party of Odinga.Thats the plan here.
When I see UN observers here in swing states, I know that is a precursor to false charges of racial minority voting place discrimination and rioting. Thats the real Obama plan.
But according to Dick Morris, Romney will win by such a landslide that the race mongers/cheaters will go down in electoral defeat. Thats is my solemn hope.
