No theocracy for me; that would be as bad as any other dictatorship. Governments are necessarily run by people; people are flawed and prone to abuse. Ergo, any government is flawed and can be abusive.

I am a simple person who believes in good and evil: answers are right or wrong: and that there is a God who will judge us when we die. All I ask in life is fairness. That is a lot, I know; maybe wishful thinking on my part.

I don’t want fairness in everything; just contests. I don’t want athletes to cheat; I don’t want my whiskey watered down; and I want elections to be fair.

Fair elections go beyond stuffing ballot boxes or hacking the machines. I want fairness in having a real choice, not two phonies lying to me. My vote today in the People’s Socialist Republic of Delaware today will mean nothing. The outcome is certain in favor of the Communist and the Idiot. But my vote will mean everything to ME, as I write in Sarah Palin for President. Any Conservative in DE should do this also.

I agree in principle. I would rather have Palin in the run as well. But we don't. Your reason (and action) will indirectly help OB to win. I see in my county votes split among write-ins, while Dems are not.
This is NOT a choice between lesser of two evils.
Nothing in my experience has ever seen the likes of OB.

IF he goes, we are at least on track to take America Back to it's founding values.
If your state goes OB- then know you helped.

Agreed. I voted for Romney this morning. Not because I thought he was particularly conservative, but because Obama MUST be evicted this year.

I agree, as a former USAF vet, I applaud your statement. I wish others would read you comments that are contemplating write-in rather than voting for the “best” choice.

Save America!!

I served under Reagan, I saw the pride & build up in our armed forces and we were respected by our Allies and our enemies. Since I've been out, I have witnessed the steady decline of our nation and our armed forces and our nations defense. I pray (& cry) for our Men & women in harms way and NOT being supported. (by many in government and libs)

PS: I like most of your posts I've read

So Plan A is once again to hold our collective noses, put our Conservative values in a box and vote for a flawed Candidate.

The problem this election cycles was that ALL the candidates were flawed. NO primary candidate satisfied even the majority of FReepers, much less the majority of Republicans.

Herman Cain? Had a woman in his past.

Rick Santorum? No executive experience, not enough of a fiscal conservative.

Newt Gingrich? Divorce issues.

By default, we got the candidate which nobody was able to find a sex scandal on, and who had executive experience.

Who shall we go for next time? I put in an early vote for Gov Scott Walker of Wisconsin.

As a Southern boy, VMI alumnus, and all that, I couldn’t agree more, although I’ll gladly stand side by side with anyone - North or South - who will fight to defend what’s left of the original intent.

“In the Name of Principle, Let’s Commit National Suicide”

This should count as trolling IMHO.
I’ll troll back and inform you that I voted for Virgil Goode because I live in a representative republic and choose to vote for the person who best represents my beliefs.

“Plan A is to get 9bambi out; I get it. So what is Plan B? Plan C?”

Plan B will be to help re-elect Mitt Romney, because he has the “best chance of beating democrat challenger X, who would be a danger to the constitution”

Plan C: (see plan A)

(I decided not to hold my nose and vote for Goode. I didn’t get struck by lightning this morning so I don’t think God’s mad at me)

“Plan B and plan C is to continue to do plan A until we’ve reached the point that we’re presented with a choice between voting for a Nancy Pelosi (D) or a Wasshername Schultz (R), in which case - synergy has been reached and it doesn’t matter who you vote for - it’s all the same.

I contend we’re already there this election.

I’m thinking past today, after I vote for every staunch Conservative on the ballot, or writing one in.”

AMEN! The more we hold our nose, the less distinction our candidates of the future will have from their democrat challengers.

>>If your state goes OB- then know you helped. <<

Perhaps you don’t understand what the People’s Republic of DE is like. DE was for 0bambi BEFORE he even announced in 2008. DE has a Democratic Governor, LT. Governor, Secretary of State, Treasurer, Insurance Commissioner, control both Houses of the Legislature plus two US Senators and its lone Representative plus the VP. The RINO Party is a joke, constantly seeking candidates who will lose by high double digits. When a Conservative runs, they vote Democratic.

So my vote for Romney or another candidate means nothing to the total vote. I, therefore, have the luxury of voting principles. Which I did and voted for Sarah Palin.

Thank you. I served as an intelligence analyst under both Presidents Reagan and Carter, at times in the White House helping with briefings and summaries, etc. Very noticeable difference, even to a lowly Spec/5.

Okay, I concede.

I have a buddy in Vermont, he tells me what it is like “behind enemy lines”. I can sympathize. I don't see how you stand it. I live in Kentucky, I moved from Illinois........do you blame me??? Thanks, Good Luck!!!
