I believe this, because I can’t believe Romney would have invited Christie to the event. As I said in another thread — any appearance by Christie would have been spun by the national media into an Attack on Romney for the devastation in New Jersey.

There was no way Romney, this close to winning, would take a chance of letting the national media make a story about Christie abandoning his state in a crisis for politics for Romney.

Of course, “not doing something” can also be turned into a national story, apparently, especially when the “Huffington Post” can pretend to be a news outlet and make up whatever they want.

Don’t agree. The political norm would be to invite him to allow him the opportunity to reject if he thought it appropriate to do so. Romney has tired of the insulting court jester and his latest stunt with Obama clinched it.
