I have NO use for Mormonism and it distresses me no end that Romney, the GOP candidate, is a devout Mormon. It concerns me.
HOWEVER, Mr. Obama has NO BUSINESS questioning someone’s Christianity when he is NOT REMOTELY Christian himself. Obama is part of his own “cult.”
I don’t want a Mormon as POTUS, but I DO NOT WANT four more years of OBAMA spitting on the Constitution.
So, I guess I will take my chance with the Mormon. Christian evangelicals WILL be able to snap him (Romney)in line IF he abuses the office as a forum to spread his Mormonisn. It won’t be tolerated. Romney will listen.
Obama listens to no one. I will take my chances with Romney....not ideal but certainly a vast improvement over Obama.
Romney won’t use the Presidency to promote his religion ...
however ....
Anti-Mormons have slandered the LDS religion for nearly 2 centures, what is likely to happen, is the same thing that happened to Obama’s carefully crafter narative of Romney during the debates .....
Romney didn’t conform
...nor will the 2 centuries of distortion naratives that anti-mormon zealotes have crafted stick ...
LDS people simply don’t conform to the distortion naratives and through Mitt Romney, the public will get a better view of a God fearing, Christ loving people and faith.
I'm not so sure his is a devout Mormon, other than from abstaining from certain behaviors. He may or may not believe everything Mormonism teaches since many Mormons are unaware of some of the weird stuff. This statement applies to even Mormons in positions of great authority.
I know three former Mormon Bishops who left the church once they learned that is was all based on lies. For most Mormons, the church is hardly more than a social organization.
Very few Mormon missionaries ever convert someone and they mostly look at a mission as a duty to their family and look for ways to do the least amount of work possible.
