Its not how many jobs have been ‘created’, because this doesn’t take into account jobs lost.
Its how many net jobs have been added, i.e. how man7y people are employed at a given time. If this number is going down, we are bleeding jobs faster than we are adding jobs - and that’s very bad.

As you can see, we have fewer people in the workforce today than at any time under Bush. And the trend is downward, not upward.
Agreed: what’s amazing is how high the unemployment rate is even with the large number of people forced out of the job market.
