You trying to tell me that no one wargammed a major hurricane stike in NYC and NJ and didn't figure out that gasoline availability was going to be a problem - and then came up with a plan to get temporary gasoline deliveries in place?
Heck, a guy drove a tanker truck from California to the region and was dispensing five free gallons. That, along with inadequate supplies of the most vital commoditiy for survival - bottled water - shows the FEMA planning and response has been an epic fail - again.
But the spin on Geraldo this weekend was “people have a misconception that FEMA is supposed to do more than it really is.” Big difference from Katrina where it was all Bush’s fault, and the state and local responsibility wasn’t discussed much.
