Well, the Redskins did their part! I would have rather seen them win, but you could say they took one for the country.

I always enjoy a Redskins loss. All the better this time.

I had a wing-nut tell me that Bush stole Ohio in 2004, so Kerry really won. They even cited the Redskins rule! So Romney is a shoe in! 100% accuracy!

A two-fer... Romney wins and Redskins lose! (A three-fer if it includes RGIII getting sacked 4 times)

I had a feeling the Panthers would win, for reasons that have nothing to do with the election. I thought Carolina would respond with a good game after almost winning in Chicago and while the Redskins are the better team, they’re not that much better.

Some say Gore winning the popular vote in 2000 messed up the mystical mojo so the “rule” still holds despite Bush’s 2004 win.

The rational part of the brain knows this is nonsense but it’s fun. Like that German octopus that predicted the world cup and got death threats from angry and hungry Germans when it predicted Germany would lose.

Heard Rush Limbaugh talk about this "Redskins Rule" on his show today. It's actually a very strange occurrence, occurring with about the same probability as flipping a coin 18 times and getting 17 heads or 17 tails.

Wonder why Redskins' road games aren't included in this when they played on the road the Sunday before the election. Probably because there is nowhere near the same unlikely correlation.

BTW, I think there was once a correlation between the outcome of the Super Bowl (according to whether the AFC or NFC team wins) and the presidential election, and also one between the outcome of the World Series (according to which league won) and the presidential election. Don't recall the details, though.
