That's what happens when they have allowed demons to posses them.
No, they are not " born " that way or have some gene... they have chosen to be that way or allowed the demons to posses them.
In the bible God says that since they have believed " the lie " that he sent them strong delusions.
Also the bible tells us that God gave them over to that.
