There have always been corrupt politicians willing to do anything to stay in power. The media is there to report the truth to the public, but there have always been dishonest media trying to slant the news to benefit their biases. The offset is that the press would offer a range of perspectives and allow the public to make judgments.

The Press and “journalists” have been indoctrinated and taught that their mission is to bring about “Social Justice” and “fairness”, not provide objective data and information. The so-called “Chicago School” of journalism does this by “comforting the afflicted and afflicting the comfortable”, or some such language.
