Notice the media says it is close over and over. That’s the mantra. They always do that when Republicans are ahead. I was waiting to see if this Obama comeback would result in predictions of an Obama win. There are very few of those. We are in good shape.

Yup - I think we are up by two touchdowns and a FG at the two minute warning and the MSM sportscasters are talking about what good onside kick hands the blue team has and anything could happen.

Absolutely right---it's like when they discuss the economy. A bad jobs report is "mixed." A terrible jobs report is "slight decline."

Doctors are like that too: when a doctor says, "you may feel some discomfort, that means 'This will hurt like hell!'"

They're prepping the leftists hordes for the "election was stolen" meme.

Yes.

Many people believe the purpose of the media is to present information. But it really isn't. Not even Fox News.

The purpose of the media is to make money. (And one can make a strong argument that most of the MSM has a secondary purpose to prop up the democrat party.)

Presenting accurate information is NOT a goal of the media. Some might argue 'well, if they present accurate information, they'll get more viewers and thus more money'

But that's not true. If they present a poll that shows Romney ahead by 9, people will think that the election is over and the news outlets will lose viewers. But if the media (and the polls that they pay for) can oversample democrats, or ask misleading poll questions, or use other statistical tweeks to show a tight horserace, they will. Just to keep viewers glued to their shows.

That's exactly right. And that, more than any other reason, is why I think Romney's going to win handily.
