President Barack Obama is leading in an unprecedented early voting push by both campaigns that has already seen an estimated 22 million people cast ballots.
But some independent observers said that the presidents lead may not be wide enough to make up the difference between Obama and Mitt Romney in some key battleground states on Election Day.
While Obama is ahead in early raw voting numbers in Florida and North Carolina, voting expert Michael McDonald, a professor at George Mason University, says Romney has effectively closed the gap enough that strong Republican turnout on Election Day could cost Obama those states.
“Unprecedented” and “tenuous” are mutually exclusive terms.
This article, like so many others, is pure cr@p.
Obama is dead in the water in Fla and North Carolina. He only won NC by 14,000 votes in 2008, no way he performs up to 2008 in 2012. Same in Fla, he’s only ahead by a few percent in early voting and even Obama officials are admitting he would have to do better on election day than he did in 2008. Not going to happen.
O’s early vote edge will be swamped by heavy GOP voter turnout Tuesday.
You will see the Mother Of All GOTV operations under way over the next 48 hours.
Except the GOTV for you didnt work? So you are telling everyone to go vote but you are going to sit at home. You are really something you know. If we lose, I hold you personally responsible
Aren’t they just counting Dem vs. Rep? None of these votes have actually been assigned to a particular candidate yet, have they? I thought actual results were held until after polls close on election day.
Except for you, of course. You won’t lift a finger. Forget you.
She is a week behind what we have been saying.
I hope you’re right. I’m furious it’s even close. What is wrong with people??? People!!!
Right. They are assuming party ID means a party vote, and they seem to be ignoring independents.
What about the Gallup poll showing Romney ahead by 7 among early voters?? I have heard almost nothing about that lately, unless the major media is trying to ignore it. Wasn’t there also an OH poll showing Romney ahead by 13 among people who plan to vote on election day? Sounds good to me.
most of 0blunder’s early votes were going to be his election day votes.
most of RR’s early votes weren’t even gonna vote.
==>
Oblunder’s Nov 6 turnout will be far less than libtards expect
and
RR’s Nov 6 turnout will be far greater than libtards expect
the press is misleading people by not disclosing such
Those are estimates that include independents, based on polls of respondents who said they voted early. Politico, besides being leftist, is just ballot counting by party as far as I can tell.
Amongst all the celebratory dancing and fireworks Tuesday night, I will be laughing during the messiah’s puny, petty, petulant “concession” speech.
FUBO and your mindless worshippers, too!
What you said!
What you said, and might I be just catty enough to add the ugly look on moochelle’s face during that speech. Boy, is she gonna be ticked off. :-)
That is so dumb!! Who assumes all Dems are voting for BO? And are we ignoring Ind. votes? Rep votes, plus dissatisfied Dem votes, plus half of Ind. votes, leaves BO calling the movers.
