The Obama White House, the Clinton State Department, and Panetta's Department of Defense have guiding principles in Afghanistan...
What the article says is that under the Obama policy, the MILITARY IS REQUIRED TO DENY AIR SUPPORT IF IT COULD RESULT IN CIVILIAN CASUALTIES. I'm putting this in all caps because this is the very first thing that makes sense and ties everything together.
The curious thing is that with his drone attacks, Obama doesn't seem to care...which I suspect is primarily because he is taking out people who might offend the Saudi royal family, who have been under attack from their very own house-grown AQ, which wants to seize their power and wealth.
But as far as protecting Americans goes, we are at the bottom of Obama's list.
In my opinion, this is the most significant thing that has been said so far and is the only rational explanation of the failure to rescue or defend Americans and American interests.
BTW, American Thinker unfortunately seems to have done something to its website so that people can't post a few pithy quotes on other websites. The problem is that you can post so little (nothing from down in the article) that nobody is going to read it or it's going to be meaningless. Counter-productive, American Thinker! If you want to influence the discourse, people have to be able to access the articles and post enough of them on other websites to interest other readers. The first sentence won't suffice.
This article struck me in the same way - it ties it all together. What a POS the POTUS is! Our sons serving in the military are sitting ducks...
