I’m taking bets on how long before someone posts that ridiculous statement about not voting for the ‘lesser of two evils’.
Thank you for posting this.
This is the conclusion I came to a few months ago.
I’m not a Romney fan, but Barack Obama is The Blight Bringer and one of these two men will be sworn in this coming January.
Oh, and I voted this morning in Pinellas County, FL.
My vote actually counts for something here. (Sorry, California.)
I am a Wayne Allyn Root fan. He and his beautiful wife have raised an incredible family while home schooling. He was Obama’s classmate at Columbia except he never saw Obama.
Significant!
I’m not a libertarian, but I’m a Catholic, and a lot of Catholics are libertarians. They won’t vote for Romney because he’s not pure enough for them.
Well, he’s not pure enough for me...but he’s not Obama! Also, I think he’s pragmatic enough to pull in people from places he probably wouldn’t have gone on his own, so to speak.
Ryan isn’t a libertarian, but he’s a serious Catholic pro-American, pro-capitalist economy, pro-individual liberties person, and his selection as VP made me feel a lot more positive about Romney. So now I’m actually happy about voting for him...
That said, I’d vote for an old gym sock over Obama.
I agree with Libertarian positions on many issues...but even if I agreed with them them on every issue, I would still vote a straight Republican ticket, for the rather obvious reason that Libertarians have not and will not achieve significant national success...ever.
I hope the Independents who are Libertarians bite the bullet and vote for Romney. Sure, it is a nice principle statement to not vote for either candidate - but our children and grandchildren will suffer the fallout of this semi-prideful rebuke if Obama has another term.
A Libertarian with sense!
Anywhere else the cause of liberty is best served by voting for Romney and every Republican Senate and House candidate.
Try to convince a Paultard, democrat..oops republican Virgil Goode acolyte or an open borders, illicit drug supporting Gary Johnson supporter.
It is interesting how Obama has already indicated his intentions for the next 4 years of being free from the fear of reelection with his Russian remarks. A set of true intention made all the more potent with his remarks in the debates and in his campaign.
I think if Obama wins then many of theses things to the extent he can force them will come to past. his radicalism might drive even more democrats to yern for mercy and help prepell more conservatives to office in 2014 and 2016. But the damage to this “country” that was the united states will have been done and likely not undo-able. In simpler terms the fate of the union will be sealed into a desinsty of slavery to the state or violent revolution and/or probably dilution.
For me the cards have already been delt. It is my highest estimation of human nature most particularly as it relates to their behavioral in a mob(democracy) they will act in accordance with the same patter that they always have which will of course like in all other cases lead to the destruction of their civilization just as it inevitably consist of the gradual enslavement and suppression of their own indivile sprite and potential.
True patriots will resist and fight for their rights with every fiber of their being, but the mob in most cases will prove itself too numerous, too ignorant, and after all too strong to win against. Thus patriots in their minds become little more than anarchist criminals. Criminal not for what they do to others but rather for what they refuses to do at the command of their self-appointed masters.
This in my mind is already our fate, with the abolition of our Federal constitution of limited government, the outcome of this particular battle is somewhat insignificant. Whether we win today or not we will inevitably continue to lose ground tomorrow, just as we have been under this lawless government.
