They’re desperate. Attacking the Tea Party is a base turnout message. It tells me they know they’re going to lose. They’re not speaking to the middle. Speaks volumes that they’re still trying to motivate their base this late.

It's not just a "base turnout message," it's a message for the base to turn out in Congressional and Senate elections, not the presidential election. I think the Tea Party has had almost no role in this presidential election, since Mitt Romney certainly would not have been their first choice -- and maybe not their second or third, either.

I'll say this again, folks ... I think Obama mailed this election in months ago -- and he's now just going through the motions to avoid a disastrous whipping for the Democrats in down-ticket races.
