Obama rallies at Mentor High School

By John Arthur Hutchison

President Barack Obama appeared in Lake County for the first time Saturday as president and candidate for last-minute campaign stop at Mentor High School.

Obama spoke for about 28 minutes before an estimated crowd of 4,010 in the school’s gymnasium and a nearby overflow room.

Obama asked for help getting people to vote early and on Tuesday and for supporters to knock on doors and make phone calls asking for his support.

“I hope you’re ready Ohio, he said. “I hope you still have fight left in you.” ...........

PPLEWIS1 2 hours ago It is so wrong that a political pep rally was placed before the good of the students this morning! It never should have been approved to have the rally the same time the students were scheduled to take the SAT. Then, at the last minute the SAT test was cancelled. I feel badly for the students, particularly seniors trying to get their scores to get their college apps in, and hope someone is held accountable!

4,010 in a gym in Mentor the day after Romney had 30,000 in West Chester.

If he needs to move his campaign rallies to high school gyms, he’s dead, Jim.

This is not the handiwork of a candidate who’ll carry OH much less than win a national election.

For O, its over!

Read the comments at the article site, seems there is also another little twist to this rally.

Today was the scheduled SAT test date at the school and the SAT was cancelled at the last minute so Obama could hold his rally. BHO places himself above everyone else, even kids trying to get into college.

Just unbelievable!

This guy is the President Of The United States!

I guess he’s longer The Messiah we have all been waiting for!

All the goosed polls in the world can’t revive him now. He’ll need more than a miracle to remain President.

That’s interesting. I wonder now you can estimate a crowd to be at 4010?

Obama had these huge outdoor rallies four years ago with young people screaming and women fainting in the aisles.

The magic is gone. There is no life to this campaign. I don’t feel the love! Do you?

An “estimated” 4,010? Means more like 1,250

It must be a typo of some sort. Maybe the reporter meant to report "410" and somehow an extra zero got stuck in there.

He should have handed out free beer and tamales, as they did in TX during LBJ’s reign of terror. He always drew a crowd of Mexicans and Americans and both voted Democrat.

28 minutes . . . estimated crowd of 4,010

In 28 minutes, three or four people could've counted 'em one by one ..

BHO places himself above everyone else, even kids trying to get into college.

He doesn't care because he got in through affirmative action and had expense paid by the Saudi muslim radicals. (He's repaid the favor numerous times, most recently by supplying arms to radicals in Libya and Syria.)

Listen to this -

“I hope you’re ready Ohio, he said. “I hope you still have fight left in you”

Does this sound like the language of a victorious candidate? He spoke for 28 minutes and he was reduced to begging his supporters to turn out to vote.

I kinda feel sorry for him. But not sorry to enough to see the Supreme Narcissist out of our lives forever!

Simple. They counted 401 people (kids who didn't know that their SAT test scheduled at that location got cancelled) and applied the standard MSM "multiplier" of 10.

They made the same mistake earlier this week on Colorado Springs until Sandy gave O an out.

This is poor planning and poor use of time by his campaign. And when you’re short on time, it can’t be made up.

But a campaign is ultimately about the candidate and not his staff.

Just saw Obama live on Fox at a rally in Iowa. He’s supposed to be in Virginia right now. Apparently the Virginia rally at Jiffy Lube Live was a bust.

Jiffy Lube Live seats 25,000. This thing in Iowa looked to have a few hundred. It was hard to tell for sure, they were just doing closeup shots.

Jiffy Lube Live (formerly Nissan Pavilion at Stone Ridge or Nissan Pavilion) in Bristow, Virginia, the amphitheater can seat 25,000: 10,000 in reserved seats and 15,000 on the law.

This venue is right off I66 and it will be easy for Oboomu to bus in supporters from MD and NOVA. I suspect this will be a surprise photo op and how he drawing crowds
