Hate to laugh, but I called it earlier today when the liberal idiots in charge in NY and DC decided it would be a good idea to announce they were giving away FREE gas. Not charging for gas will do more harm than good because everyone will try to get free gas, whether they have a use for it or not. Some will get the gas and resell it, some will get the gas even if they don't need it, and the net result will be those who need it most will get screwed.

Fools. If they paid any attention to the President they’d know that gasoline is a “fuel of the past.”

Imagine the black market in stolen gas cans they just created.

Free gas? If it’s primarily for first responders, restrict it to them.

Exactly; I wonder how many dead Prius’s there are that can’t move because there’s no power to charge the batteries.
(Don’t know what the plural of Prius is) Priusi? Crapola?

You are thinking about this logically. The election is a few days away so those rules of logic are suspended till then.

I doubt the average Joe gets a drop of that gas. The media will give the impression that it’s only marked emergency vehicles for now getting fills, but this is just too valuable a perk for the government class.

And their personal cars, too. Free gas, but only for the connected. They’ll run those tankers dry.

Look what happened on the East Coast. Can you imagine attacks on multiple cities at one time and how unorganized this whole nation is. I think we should bring some people from Israel to show us how to handle catastrophes.

Doesn’t matter. Price controls always fail; price control to FREE means instant failure. Reality will hit before Tuesday.

entitlement loving citizens will deprive their own local businesses of revenue as long as the government’s tankers have supplies, because its free, not because they cannot find a private station who is selling gas

FEMA SUVs need gas so they can sit at idle for 10-12 hours with the heat on...while the citizens shuffle by with wet blankets thrown over their shoulders for warmth.

The typical Prius is a gasoline electric hybrid, it does not have a plug. There is a new plug in Prius now though. Mine gets just over 50 MPG average with the air conditioning running. Prius is now the 3rd most popular car on earth and the 12th most popular in the USA.

Before you think I'm a greenie liberal asshat and call me names, my other "car" is a large diesel pickup that I use to pull my big gasoline sucking boat. I just got tired of giving enemies of America $125 per week, I guess you could call me conservative.

All that said, I guess gasoline is now a right. /s

No, no... you got it mixed up. The plural of Prius is Piece, and the group of them is a Crapola... as in "Look Mommy, there's a Prius! Yes, son, there's two more. We just saw a Crapola of Piece!"

(Or is it Peace?)

The Prius is about the only hybrid that I would consider buying. I have some friends that have them and love them and none of them are greenies. One friend has 140,000 miles on his with no issues. My biggest concern is an accident. There is a lot of voltage running through that thing.

Before people start getting their panties in a wad, my car is a K2500 Suburban. It gets 14 MPH on the highway.
