To: Do Not Make Fun Of His Ears

This is pure rubbish. There are many factors that go into selecting a VP. First, Christi’s health and weight... could he handle the riggers of campaigning? Just look at Christi after 5 days from going to city, to city, ... he looks terrible. Secondly; could picking Christi be enough to make the race close in NJ? Not a chance. You have two DEM-RAT US Senators because of Hudson County (Jersey City, Union City,) Newark, Elizabeth, Camden, Paterson and Trenton. The selection for Ryan was very wise; Wisconsin is in play, you have a Republican Gov that just survived a recall; and you have Tommy running for Senate.... Ryan is very popular, he’s in good shape, he’s good looking, gives the ticket some young energy.

As for my Governor, giving the pat on the back to Obama... he’s did the right thing by welcoming Obama... if he pulled a Bloomy and said “don’t come” then Obama would have sat out that day, and still gotten back on the trail and NO ONE would have been able to criticize the President for not focusing on the Country’s needs.

If Christie was miffed over not being selected, he wouldn’t have been out stumping for Romney... he would have told him to pound sand.

A pair of them wouldn't hurt from the looks of him.

Something else to consider is that New Jersey is likely to have two Democratic U.S. Senators until the end of the world. That means it will be very easy for Romney to simply write off the entire state when it comes to reaching out to the House and Senate to get things done in Washington.

If you think this isn't a big deal, just realize that McGuire Air Force Base was on the original list of base closure candidates back in the first Bush administration mainly because both senators from New Jersey were Democrats who opposed the Gulf War in 1990. Plattsburgh AFB in upstate New York, though, was slated to remain open even though it had many constraints that made it inferior to McGuire (the inability to move fuel into the facility during winter months when barge traffic on the Hudson River and the Lake Champlain canal system was closed, for example). This was because Plattsburgh had a strong advocate in Washington in the form of Sen. Al D'Amato (R-NY).
