Christie, like Marco Rubio, would have been a disaster as a running mate. Romney needed a VP pick who would arose the conservative base, like Ryan. Christie is to the left of Romney (and Rubio, too, contrary to the Conventional Wisdom) and would have kept Real Conservatives home on election day

Paul Ryan was a great pick.
I absolutely love Paul Ryan. Christie’s going to have his hands full with New Jersey for a while; I’m thankful he didn’t choose Christie for a lot of reasons.
But it would have been cool to see a Chris Christie Girl music video with a plus-size bikini model.
