I love that you are calling it Frisco. Having lived in the area for a while, I know locals get all persnickety when you do that.

Have to go there next week for business. I think I’ll do that several times to see how many people I can get frothing at the mouth.

Yes, indeed. The Friscans just HATE it when you call it "Frisco".

If my understanding of the local history is correct (corrections invited) back in the days of the gold rush, and even into the mid-1900s, Frisco was not a pejorative. The best I can figure, it was a book by Herb Caen titled "Don't Call it Frisco" that drummed up all the fake prideful insistence on not calling Frisco Frisco.

Be careful, BTW, as the Friscans might take reprisals on your joking with them. (And, don't bring nice shoes, but you knew that.)
