Well, it finally happened. The mainstream media have figured out that Benghazi is a big story and potentially a serious national security scandal. After weeks of silence, a plethora of mainstream media news stories have popped.
*snip*
CBS News reports: CBS News has learned that during the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Mission in Benghazi, the Obama Administration did not convene its top interagency counterterrorism resource: the Counterterrorism Security Group (CSG). The CSG is the one group thats supposed to know what resources every agency has. They know of multiple options and have the ability to coordinate counterterrorism assets across all the agencies, a high-ranking government official told CBS News. They were not allowed to do their job. They were not called upon.
As conservative critics have pointed out for weeks, the White House cover story didnt match the information held by intelligence agencies:
In the days after the assault, counterterrorism officials expressed dismay over what they interpreted as the Obama Administrations unwillingness to acknowledge that the attack was terrorism; and their opinion that resources which could have helped were excluded.

but this is so blatantly incompetent they are in an indefensible position.
If anything good comes out of their reporting it is that they will lose creditability with a few more of their public. Sad that Americans had to die to prove once again the incompency of this administration and the corruption and bias of the mainstream media.
Herridge and Griffin especially--they both deserve Pulitzers for their reporting, and so do Greta and Bret Baier for their bull-dog efforts to pull the rug out from under O and those "sicko"phants in his administration and the LSM who have used it to cover-up the truth about "Benghazigate"!
Are you kidding? Hurricane Sandy is the big story - local paper hasn’t mentionned Benghazi since last Friday, and that was quoting the administration line.
I don’t watch television, and I don’t know what the papers are running outside of the NYC/NJ/Philadelphia .
It probably doesn’t matter much - what could make NJ swing Republican, for instance? More than Benghazi and foreign sex trips for our senator, that’s for sure.
But really people - for nearly all of us the storm damage will affect us two weeks tops - the election will take us four years and beyond.
Take your flashlight, hold your nose and vote for Romney.
Which is what I would say if I had a newspaper.
Agree.
Amazing, isn’t it? What part of Nevada you from?
how many have even heard of Benghazi?
Most won’t learn of Benghazi until after the election and only if the leftist idiots in the MSM decide to tell them.
Maybe by Monday they may notice that there is an election coming.
NO, they are NOT waking up, they knew it all along the way, but swept it under the Soetoro’s “silence” rug!
They are now afraid to be left behind with rotten eggs on their faces!!
Because they see now that FOX is prying this criminal war case wide open with help of many whistle-blower officials and military outrage!!!
I think the media is covering this just in passing a milestone of sorts. They need some credibility and/or traction should a story break in the next three days, they’ll need to put out that fire. Can’t be seen as totally unaware.
Las Vegas
Searchlight is killing us.
No the media will not cover Benghazi. Probably only a few token Internet articles but not the massive coverage Benghazi would be getting if this were a Republican president( it would have been more than the Sandy coverage it would be on every 2 minutes on the news). Look at how much coverage the media gave Abu Gharib when one died there.
You are right. People better start letting them know we know what biased, leftist elitists they are. When Romney becomes president it will be all out war on him. We better be prepared for the return volley.
