From what I’ve been reading Staten Island is a GOP stronghold. Probably the only one in NYC. You may want to rethink your smugness. Conservatives get in trouble,too.

They stopped the Staten Island Ferry. Not nearly as easy for these folks to get to food and water as it is for those in the other boroughs. Clever move, Bloomberg. I can just imagine how stranded and helpless and angry these people must feel.
Part of the problem is that there are not very many New Yorkers in the Marathon. Most of the runners are from other states and other countries. They don’t really care about us. If they had any heart, they would not participate.
Unfortunately, there are more of them than there are of you - who vote lockstep for the lefties. I know nothing of Staten Island - and no - those who vote against the libtards don’t deserve it, however, they out number you.
