Patrick Moran claims he was just joking about encouraging voter fraud. But he nonetheless resigned last week as field director for the campaign of his father, Virginia Congressman Jim Moran.
Guerrilla videographer James O’Keefe caught Patrick Moran on tape offering advice on how to commit in-person voter fraud. The scheme involved forging utility bills that would satisfy Virginia’s non-photo ID law, and then casting ballots in the name of others — relying on the help of Democratic lawyers stationed at the polls if there were any problems. Some joke.
Last April, a 22-year-old O’Keefe associate showed how easy it is to vote in someone else’s name if no ID is required by being offered the ballot of Attorney General Eric Holder simply by mentioning his name to a Washington, D.C. poll worker. Now O’Keefe has shown just how easy it is to commit in-person voter fraud in states that have loose non-photo ID laws
But opponents of voter ID dismiss worries about our voting system’s vulnerability. The liberal Advancement Project claims “you’re more likely to get hit by lightning than find a case of prosecutorial voter fraud.” I guess the Advancement Project missed these recent lightning strikes:
–A Democratic nominee for Congress had to resign in Maryland last month because she had voted in two states at the same time.
–An Arkansas state legislator resigned from office after pleading guilty along with a city councilman and police officer to committing voter fraud.
–In Iowa, a Canadian couple and a Mexican citizen were charged with illegally voting in U.S. elections.
–The guilty plea in California of a Mexican drug dealer who fraudulently voted in the 2008 election while in this country illegally.
Our chaotic voter registration rolls make it too easy to commit voter fraud. A February study by the non-partisan Pew Center on the States found one in eight voter registrations were invalid or contained major errors. Some 2.8 million people were registered in two or more states, and 1.8 million registered voters are dead. That’s an open invitation to fraud and mischief. The 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, ruling in 2007 in favor of photo ID laws, found there was “an extreme difficulty of apprehending a voter impersonator” if no ID was required. In other words, we have no idea how much fraud could be out there.
We should clean up our voter rolls, require those casting absentee ballots to provide a driver’s license or Social Security number and make photo ID mandatory at the polls. Photo ID will not just stop the voter impersonation liberals claim doesn’t exist, but will cut down on multiple voting, non-citizen voting, people voting in the wrong precinct, out-of-state voting and voting in the names of fictitious people.
Former Democratic Congressman Artur Davis says he stopped opposing photo ID laws because he knows of too many instances of voter fraud in his Alabama district. “The worst kind of voter suppression today is the wholesale manufacture of ballots in African-American neighborhoods,” he told me.
Indeed, a 2012 Rasmussen poll found 64 percent of Americans think voter fraud is “very” or “somewhat” serious. African-Americans (64 percent) and those earning under $20,000 a year (71 percent) agreed.
The Supreme Court has backed that concern. In 2008, it found states have the right to pass photo ID laws in an opinion written by liberal Justice John Paul Stevens. In a unanimous 2006 decision reinstating Arizona’s voter ID law, the court stated: “Voter fraud drives honest citizens out of the democratic process … Voters who fear their legitimate votes will be outweighed by fraudulent ones will feel disenfranchised.”
Former Democratic Senator Chris Dodd of Connecticut put it simply when he co-authored the Help America Vote Act in 2002: “We should make it easy to vote, and hard to cheat. We can do both.” We should get to work to do just that.

Voter Fraud is so 3rd world nation. Liberals have been taking us there for some time.
This is fraud too. It is against the law for non-citizens to participate in US elections, and that includes electioneering.

If you never received the ballot, you should go tomorrow, Friday, November 2, 2012, to your county board of elections and find out what you can do, UNLESS YOU ARE CERTAIN that you know what to do from information available in the newspapers / your local library / you had good luck reaching the county board of elections on the phone.
If you did not already send in your ballot via U.S.P.S., then you may hand deliver your ballot to your county board of elections.
If you still wish to mail your absentee ballot, it will require 65 CENTS U.S. postage and must be postmarked no later than NOVEMBER 5, 2012 and received by your county board of elections by November 16, 2012. YOU CANNOT USE A POSTAGE METER “STAMP.”
YOU MAY NOT RETURN YOUR ABSENTEE BALLOT TO A POLLING PLACE ON ELECTION DAY.
If you do not mail nor hand deliver your absentee ballot to your county board of elections, and you still wish to vote, you MUST vote using the provisional system at your polling place on the day of elections, November 6, 2012.
To vote a provisional ballot at your polling place, you will need to bring along your Ohio driver’s license or a copy of a current (within the last 12 months) utility bill, bank statement, government check, military ID, paycheck or other government document (other than a voter registration notification mailed to you by your county board of elections) that SHOWS YOUR NAME AND CURRENT ADDRESS.

When I went to early vote last week I asked the poll worker ( a black guy) demonstrating the machine “ what’s to stop someone looking up my name and address in the phone book and voting as me”? He looked up at me and said “ nothing, and I think that’s messed up”.
Watching a special report on Blaze TV, right now, with John Fund, J. Christian Adams, Thomas Sowell and many others on this. They began with Eric Holder’s history. It’s a great exposure of the rampant fraud. It’s called The Machine.
Interesting. My husband was polled last week. Didn’t get the name of the organization. One of the first questions the guy asked was “When are you going to the polls?” My husband’s radar went up and he said, “I don’t know. Early.” Apparently the guy pressed him for a time, and my husband replied, “I’m not going to tell you what time I’m going to the polls because someboy could go in and vote in my place, and when I show up they won’t let mevote.” They went on to other questions.
In truth, my husband had already voted when I did — about a month ago. But now I’m worried. If the polls are really heavy, they won’t register and cast the absentee ballots until after the polls are closed. I’m working at a poll that is not where I vote. Somebody could come in and vote in my stead and when it is time to register my absentee ballot, it will be rejected. I’ve been worried about that all month.
I asked for an absentee ballot because I wasn’t going to be in town on election day. The absentee ballot never arrived in the mail.
So i went down to fill out a ballot at the election office. They said they mailed an absentee ballot to me on October 3rd. I never got it.
I had to ask them twice to invalidate the other ballot. They probably invalidated mine.

The people that are in charge of elections work for the city, towns & villages. They are unionized government workers. Especially in the recent election and recall election for governor of WI that was a huge motivation for cheating.
Is it just me or does it bother others that these people are the ones giving the final tallies and handling our ballots?
So where the heck is Jimmy Carter? Isn’t he supposed to be the one to make sure we have honest elections.

Dean Logan is one example of what you are speaking about. After the democrats stole the Washington State gubernatorial election of 2004, the investigation continued and found Dean Logan the elections chief and his right hand man to be complicit in voter fraud. It was blatant. Logan was allowed to resign as Chief of King County Elections and take an elections job in Los Angeles.
There is no accountability in the elections offices of heavily democrat counties. In the case of King County, the most populous county in the state containing Seattle, they waited until all the other counties reported, and then when it was known how many votes to manufacture, they ‘found’ the votes in ballot bags that appeared from thin air. It was that blatant. And it took place inside the elections office.
