They waited 25 minutes before they sent Tyrone Woods, that may have been the difference between life and death for Sean Smith and Chris Stevens
First, on the question of whether Woods and others were made to wait when they asked permission to move out immediately to try to rescue those at the consulate. The answer seems to be yes, but not for very long. There was a brief, initial delay two people said it was about 20 minutes before Woods was allowed to leave. One official said that Woods and at least one other CIA colleague were in the car revving the engine, waiting for permission to go.
Why would they wait so long to report this?
thanks for the CYA.. now, how did the “stand down” orders make it to the seals... the THREE times they requested permission to render assistance?
and WHO issued those orders?
at what time?
WTF. Then what was all that crap about the video? Lots of A-covering going on now. But it remains clear that the administration tried to conceal the truth. Maybe because they had know for a month that such a thing might happen.
This all sounds like the Keystone cops.
More misdirection?
Yes, they rushed. Woods and his cohorts rushed to the compound which was 1.5 miles away. It took them 25 minutes. And they had to disobey orders to go. When they returned to the unsafe house, they waited for hours for military assistance. Does the CIA have no equipment for taking out targets? Or does the military usually aid in such?
No matter how you slice it, this was a fubar months in the making, and someone should have already been fired. Unless the responsible party is the tea sipper in chief.
*sniff* *sniff*... Nice try WaPo, but this thing still smells like a turd.
Now it's the CIA who did this, rushing security operatives to the rescue?
I thought the two former Seals went on their own, possibly against orders.
This coverup gets uglier by the day.
They want me to believe that two SEALS going out on their own and disobeying order equates with "the CIA rushed security operatives"?
Sure, these ex-Seals are tough hombres, but they don't have the equipment of the active duty special forces guys. And if you've got a hundred jihadis with RPGs, don't you think you may need more than a couple ex-Seals?
What are the odds The Washington Post is providing DISINFORMATION.. as blocking manuver for Dumbo..
Stuck on lies...
Stuck on lies...
Did Obama always have balls the size of pistachios?
So they could send a barely adequate rescue force 410 miles from Tripoli but the major response forces in Sigonella 470 miles away couldn’t be mustered.
All that rushing to and from ... taking charge of this and that ... personnel here and personnel there . . . drones and airplanes ... trucks and busses ... commands for this demands for that ...
... and then, the music stopped, and everyone sat down.
Usually you don’t want to make enemies unnecessarily, but THEN we have THIS Prez. This Prez decided to make the following enemies RIGHT before his one and only time to be re-elected:
1. The Navy SEALs
2. The CIA
How STUPID do you have to be in order to do THAT...? This guy is a freaking RETARD. They say he did barely ANYTHING while he chared Law Review at Harvard and they also said that when he was, “Constitutional Law Professor”.
They should have sent in the NCIS guys. Everyone knows the USA can’t exist in freedom and security without them.
They can take out entire squadrons of terrorists and look great the whole time!
Time for Obama to throw someone under the bus - let's watch.
