It is not me......the Red Cross has said it. Time and time again. They have no one to sort them..no place to store them and no way to transport them to the flooded areas.
It looks like the LDS organization works with several charities and has specific action plans for natural disaster assistance. They have sent people to help the Red Cross and are working with other charities.

“They have no one to sort them..no place to store them and no way to transport them to the flooded areas.”
Right. The Red Cross is asking for $$ donations so they can purchase food, water, and other supplies and then sort, store, and transport to the victims.
Got it.
So let me get this straight...
Red Cross cannot accept canned goods, or sort them or transport them or distribute them to the people who are hungry in the storm’s wake?
Sounds to me like Red Cross should GTF out of the way and let the people who want to help and know how to work get the job done.

Another reason to support organizations like the Salvation Army and Samaritan’s Purse. The Red Cross can pound sand.
