The 2nd largest newspaper in Iowa after the Des Moines Register, the Cedar Rapids Gazette, endorsed Romney for President today. Both of those newspapers lean left and supported Obama in 2008, but both have now endorsed Romney. In the Gazette endorsement article, the Benghazi mess was cited as one of the primary reasons, as well as jobs and economy. So, the MSM may be ignoring it, but word is out at the local levels. It is the elephant in the room and the MSM is not going to have one iota of cred left when Romney wins in spite of their shameless pandering to the Obama campaign. I won’t be sorry to see them go. Time for an entirely new slate of reporters to take over our papers and airwaves.
Iowa’s #3, the Quad City Times said they endorsed Romney because of Zero’s failed and Romney’s presumptive leadership qualities. Lots of angry libs in their comments. Schadenfreude starts.
