Whether or not this was handled well, the fear of a “Blackhawk Down” scenario could easily have been on someone’s mind. If you haven’t seen that movie, you should, it is really scary, and I have a son in Afghanistan. If would sure make me think twice before committing more troops.

You wouldn’t need to put boots on the ground. Air support would have aided.

The "Blackhawk Down" scenario (in 10/93) largely occurred in the first place because the civilian leadership failed to listen to the recommendations of the commanders on the ground. If the administration wanted to truly avoid a "Blackhawk Down" scenario, they would have applied the lessons learned, instead of repeating them.

It wouldn't have risked anything to have buzzed the compound area with a couple of F18s. It might have put a little “this-attack-is-a-bad-idea” in the attackers minds!
Any hesitation on their part would have increased the chance of a rescue and/or successful on ground intervention.

It seems their was a armed predator on station, someone laser painting targets from the roof of the “CIA annex” and a AC-130 gunship. Depending on what the predator was armed with (Let's say 2 Hellfires!) it might have been enough. The attacking force was NOT in the 100s maybe maybe a few dozen. A Hellfire strike at the proper moment at the right spot might have turned the attack immediately into a retreat. Four or five of your pals turned into pink mist from out of no where does prey on the mind! Then there is the gunship, it alone could have ended it immediately.

What was missing was the will to act! Why?
Incompetence? Certainly! I don't care? Likely! That's pure Zero and his rampant narcissism! Nothing surprising there!
Not enough intelligence? pure BS on Panetta's part! His positive paragraph in history on getting UBL, just got wiped out!

Again Hillary's incompetence and moral callousness is out there for the world to see! Keeping the stupid explanation going that it was all caused by the video! Telling Tyrone Woods' father (the ex-Seal) that 'they would punish the video maker!' shows again her complete lack of empathy for others and desire to keep her "political viability" alive. (Clintons love being "politically viable"!) She is through now for 2016 and forever!

Why does anyone think this Hillary is a political genius? (Or any other sort of genius!) She is the ultimate strap hanger!

Somolia was a “peace-keeping” humanitarian mission. This would have been a RESCUE mission and therefore suitably armed and prepared.

Blackhawk Down is not going to fly.
