I didn't pick up on it then, because we didn't know at the time of the debate that there was an order to stand down that night, nor that there had been an order given not to take out the painted mortar target.
It would have meant more at the time of the debate if we had the details like we do now. He can't have it both ways. If he gave the order to help in every way possible, someone defied him. Why isn't he outraged? Where was he when the decision was made? Asleep?
If he was the one who gave the order to stand down, then he lied to cover up what really happened and is directly responsible for the deaths of at least two of the four. They were killed much later at the annex.
