Too bad as contractors they aren’t eligible for the Medal of Honor.

The full and proper title of said award is "The Congressional Medal of Honor", is it not? This indicates that Congress can award such an honor under unusual circumstances (such as seems to apply here) to whoever it sees fit to, 'contractor' status or not. The real question would be, does Congress have the will to do so...

‘Medal of Honor’ is military. ‘Congressional MoH’ is not an official name for it.

Congressional Gold Medal and Presidential Medal of Freedom are highest civilian honors.

That's my thought too...either for knowing too much about the gunrunning or to be kidnapped to be exchanged for the blind sheik......It was planned for sure....Security had been purposely thinned out....and to send the Ambassador to an unsecured “outpost” on 9/11 would be insane.......You have to be more then inept to have a setup that good....It's murder or at the very least accessory to murder

Here is the problem.
Zero apparently appointed Stevens because he was gay as he has done with so many other appointments to high govt. offices.Stevens over the years had gotten along with the muslims in various countries incredibly well and had supposedly made a lot of contacts. He had even turned muslim himself.
Problem is he was quite open about being gay and in an islamo environment in that part of the world that's never very smart. It evidently carried a lot of jeopardy for both hillary and zero who was running for reelection and didn't need any blow ups with a gay ambassador who was heading up a gun running op with the cia from Benghazi to Syria and turkey.
It appears that the decision had been made somewhere along the line to either have him kidnapped and then rescued or to issue a hit,its not clear.one of the reasons over 600 request for increased security were ignored by all and the security he had was local and controlled by the kabal through hillary and zero.
Anyway when the terror types captured Stevens they did to him what they would do to any gay infidel. He was sodomized, beaten and when he was still alive at the Benghazi Hospital he was given a “hot shot” to kill him once and for all.
There is absolutely no telling just how much Stevens knew about what in a variety of countries and with loose lips his future was written in stone.
