I only heard a little bit of Rush but what I heard, it didn’t seem like he gets what’s really going on here.
Why would anybody tell these people to stand down, if the Administration didn’t already know that the attack was supposed to end up harmless? If they didn’t know any better, they had to assume that shots were fired and people were going to be killed. In that case, they told these CIA people to stand down, they ignored the lasers and coordinates telling them where to fire, and they set attackers free... as a concession that those 20 people (who ended up being rescued by the former SEALs) and Stevens and the guy with him were all going to die.
Why would they do that? What possible reason could they give? They had a drone there and could have broken up the attack within about an hour if they had allowed the standard protocols to be followed. At risk were the lives of 22 people.
Their actions only make sense if they were either sadistic enough to want those people dead or not care if they were dead.... or if they knew the kidnapping was not supposed to be fatal for those 22 people.
What other explanation can they give?
A Lt. Col. caller is trying to explain this to Rush, right now.
There has been speculation that the plan was a kidnapping that Obama could use as an election booster. He'd be viewed as a hero bring the kidnapped to safety after the meeting spent a few weeks on their personal narratives working American's emotions. I could see it. I could also see how he and Jarret could think they could trust their Muslim brothers and get stabbed in the back.

At some point, you wind up with so many events, that it truly becomes laughable to call something a coincidence.
Well, it’s time to figure it out, and FR is usually pretty good about that.
I have been at FR since 98, but for the last several years have hardly posted at all. It is this election, and what happened in Libya that has gotten my attention again.
The more I look at the timeline of activity in Beghazi, the more appaling it comes. And speaking of timeline, I tried to search, but nobody seems to have created a timeline of all this, spanning the time leading up, during, and after.
If someone is aware, or has created a timeline, that is something I’d like to see.
